Lovin' Louisiana Part One
The girls had the opportunity to go to Louisiana with their grandparents in order to attend cousin Laine's wedding where they danced the night away. They also stopped off at Nottaway Plantation for a taste of Louisiana life in the 1800'sSpent one afternoon visiting with Morgan's paternal grandmother, Bees, at the beautiful home of Gary's sister, Vicki.
They also had the chance to get acquainted or re-acquainted with a couple more cousins.
It was a fun family filled trip for all of them. The question is how did Grandpa and Grandma survive with three giggling girls for 7 days???

Confirmation Mass 2010
When young adults enter high school, they can choose to become candidates for confirmation in the Catholic Church. Morgan and Christin attended a two week program last summer and a year long once a week class at Holy Cross Church in order to be confirmed. At long last, the day arrived and they were prepared to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Our fabulous friend, Michele, was Christin's sponsor for Confirmation. She is also an excellent seamstress and provided lots of assistance with preparing their dresses for the event.
Another dear friend, Mary Beth was Morgan's sponsor and was a delight to both girls throughout their time of preparation. A few more of their fabulous friends
Finally, a group photo with Bishop John Steinbock to celebrate the event.
It was a beautiful, prayerful evening of celebration with mass and a reception following. So many people participated both in preparation for the event and also with the event itself. Thanks so much if you were one of those incredible people. It was a special evening that they will never forget.

Veteran's Hall Parking Lot Clean Up
The boys are working on a "Citizenship in the Community" merit badge which requires eight hours of community service. Their project was to paint the concrete block walls at the Veteran's Hall Parking Lot. First, they had to scrape the walls a bit to make sure they were free of loose paint and debris. Then they had to have a little organization getting things put in the right places,
then it was time to paint and paint and paint some more,
and some more,
and some more.
Thanks to help from sisters and one little brother, they were able to complete one long wall.

Andrew is Five Years Old!
Andrew turned five years old in April. We were lucky enough to have my sister, Cindy, her husband, Chris visiting from Idaho as well as my niece, Stephanie, her husband, Michael and their daughter, Addison visiting from San Diego.
He loved playing with his little cousin. . .
opening some cool presents
reading his birthday cards
and of course, eating cake. Happy Birthday, Andrew!
