George Washington's Hat

So I needed to make a quick trip to the grocery.  As I was leaving Thomas asked to ride along.  Of course, I said "Yes, but put some shoes on very quickly".  He complied and also donned his special George Washington hat from school which he proudly proceeded to wear to the grocery store paper hair curls, cockade and all.  Several of the grocery clerks commented on his hat with one being a history buff.  He proceeded to ask him what he knew about dear old George and Thomas would have made his kindergarten teacher proud with his recitation of facts about our founding father.  Five year olds are amazing!

Two more train cars refurbished and looking good.  Only wish I could learn how to take better photos.
 Can't forget the caboose!
Two more done and one more to go but it's the easiest one.   All aboard!

Several years ago, I purchased these LEGO trains but time took it's toll and the pieces slowly fell off and were lost and the trains were looking pretty sad.  Since school is out this week, we've been playing with LEGO and I decided to help rebuild the trains.  So far, we have the train engine built (have to do the coal car still) and the green passenger car.
There are magnets holding them together which is pretty cool but if one falls off the table they both will.
Looking pretty good so far, I'm anticipating the completion of the entire train.  LEGO time is really sparking the little ones imagination and keeping them busy for hours and hours.

Easter Sunday

They really are huge then it was off for a small photo shoot.

Next was the amazing new Sea Lion Cove exhibit which is absolutely amazing.
However, Thomas dropped the camera so the rest of the photos are slightly blurry.  I think it's time for a new camera now!
 Giraffe feeding is always fun!
 Check out that tongue!
 James feeding the stingrays!
James has really grown since we celebrated his fourth birthday in front of this gorilla.
Thomas and Andrew also had to see how they measured up against the gorilla.
We had a great day at the zoo and it was a beautiful sunshiny day.  Happy Easter Everyone!

Anyone who knows our family knows that we are crazy for LEGO.  At Open House at school, one of the fourth grade students made this amazing California mission completely out of LEGO.  I had to take a few photos to remember it so we can attempt our own LEGO mission in a few years.
Isn't it impressive!?

Thanks Fr. Scott for helping my little man grow in his faith.
Thank you, Sr. Goretti, for being such an amazing and dedicated teacher for these young ones.
